Achievement Night

Set for Homemakers

Achievement night for the Homemakers Clubs of Rappahannock is scheduled for next Wednesday night, November 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Amissville fire hall. A program on highway safety will be conducted by Trooper J. B. Willis and Miss Brenda Printz will provide entertainment with her folk songs and guitar accompaniment.

Each Homemaker Club in the county will offer an exhibit which will be judged; a silent auction will be featured, and door prizes will be awarded. Following the program will be a social hourt

Single-Car Crash

Three charges were lodged against Rubin Stewart, Jr., a laborer of Washington, following a single-car crash Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred on Route 622 in the Town of Washington about 3 pjn. Stewart was operating a ’62 Chrysler when he lost control of the vehicle on a hillcrest and struck a rock pillar in front of the William Stuart property, according to investigating officer W. A. Buntin. The car was declared a total loss and the driver sustained a laceration of the chin and of the left eye. He was charged with reckless driving, no operator’s license and no inspection.
