Questionnaires Are
Sent Veterans
All veterans and widows who receive nonservice-connected pension or death pension and parents who receive Dependency and Indemnity Compensation will receive an income questionnaire with the VA check for October which they should receive on or about November 2nd. Pension and death pension under both the “old” and “new” pension laws, and Dependency and Indemnity Compensation for parents are subject to income limiations. The Veterans Administration checks on income each year by sending an income questionnaire to each individual who is receiving a check for one of these benefits. Payees are reminded that the amount of income they report must be figured to the exact penny, so the Veteran: Administration can place them ir the proper income bracket. It is also, suggested that very carefu thought be given to the computation of the amount ol income that is reported for 1971
Failure to return the income questionnaire by January 15 1971, will cause the Veteran; Administration to stop the benefit check and create ai overpayment against the persor receiving the benefit. The Veterans Administration maj then demand refund of money i paid for 1970.
