Work! Work! Work! For the last couple of weeks everyone at R.C.H.S. sure have had their share. Several of the Seniors take college boards this Saturday and basketball practice has begun to practice for the new season.
The S.C.A. has also been busy. A meeting was held Monday to discuss getting sponsors for the new clubs and also to discuss getting a new curtain for the gym.
Year book’s are on sale this week. With the help of every student and the new ideas that the staff has, this year’s annual is expected to be a great one!
Every morning, first period music can be heard coming from the gymnasium. Adding that special touch the choir adds a new joy to several songs.
Mrs. Blauvelt has made her mistake in Art for the year. She spilled a can of varnish on the table and floor and then proclaimed that everyone is entitled to ONE mistake.
The Freshmen class officers held a meeting Tuesday. They really intend to make themselves known throughout the school.

* Store any matches in a metal container.
* When lighting a gas burner, put the lighted match on the burner before turning on the gas.
* Do not place trays, pot holders, and plastic or wooden utensils on electric range units because the units may be hot wjthout showing red.
* Never turn burners on ufttil ready to use.
* Turn off all burners and ovens after use.
* Store flammable objects, such as wax paper, towels and cleaning agents, away from range.
* Turn pan handles toward the back or the side of the range.
* Use dry, thick pot holder when handling hot objects.
* Keep fire extinguisher within reach. Know how to use it.
* When placing in or removing utensils from the oven, pull the rack out.
* Use two pot holders when handling large or heavy pots anc pans.
* Smother gkease fires by covering with salt, soda, or a par lid.
* When lifting the cover from < pan on the range, tip the cover sc the steam will escape from the fa: side of the pan.
* Train the children not tc touch the range or its controls.

* Check the level of fat in th< frying kettle so it will not bubbli over when food is added.
