John Lawrence remains a patient in Newton D. Baker Hospital where he has been for several weeks following surgery.
Wednesday luncheon guests of Mrs. Charlie Priest were Mrs. Jacob Heflin and Mrs. Ruth Putnam of Marshall and Mrs. Clarence Hitt of Haymarket.
Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne were Sunday dinner guests of Lt. Gen. and Mb. Hugh Exton.
Visitors Thursday of Mrs. Sarah Latham who had lunch with her at the Coach and Caverns in Luray were Mrs. C. C. Cockerill, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kephart, Mrs. James Powell and Mrs. H. B. Peck, all of Herndon and Mrs. John D. Peck of Spotsylvania. Susan Latham returned home with them and spent the long weekend in Arlington with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. David Hoadley. Susan was accompanied home Sunday by the Hoadleys who were dinner guests in the Latham home. Visitors Monday of Mrs. Sarah Latham were Carl Schumacher and Sam Flick of Elkton. Mrs. Julia Curtis has returned home after having eye surgery at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. Mrs. J. L. Walter, who spent last week in Culpeper with Mr. and Mrs. Leland Walter and family returned Friday to the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Riley and then to her home on Sunday. Miss Margaret Atkins of Winchester was a weekend visitor of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roadcap Atkins. Mrs. James Paul is a patient in Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, which she entered Monday morning.
