Presently, the old Remount Station is used by the Department of Agriculture for experimental breeding of cattle. When and if the Department decides to phase out this operation, the property will go to the Department of the Interior. This Department, according to the information we have heard, is interested in the possibilities of developing a sort of living museum of horse soldiery.
One of the biggest hitches that has developed thus far are proposals of the Potomac Edison Company of Virginia to run massive power lin^s smack through the property.. It would surely be a shame to mar in this manner a site with such interesting possibilities. □
