Ella Green
Mrs. Ella Compton Green died February 21 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was 102 and supposedly the oldest citizen of Culpeper. She was born in Rappahannock, the daughter of the late Burrel and Martha Ellen Clark Compton. Her husband Henry C. Green died in 1949.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. W. Arthur Kite of Culpeper, twin grandsons, Donald M. Kite and Raymond B. Kite both of Culpeper and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Clore Funeral Home chapel Friday with Rev. Harold Eaton and Rev. John S. Farrar officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery followed.
