Helen Spicer
Miss Helen Spicer, 72, of Castleton died February 29 in Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Charles Lewis Spicer and Ardena Courtney Spicer. Miss Spicer was a life member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sisters, Miss Dorothy Spicer of Castleton, Mrs. Bessie Bowles of Oxon Hill, Md., Mrs. Ella Watterson of Suitland, Md., Mrs. Clarice Hales of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Ethel Grammar of Roanoke; a brother, Charles E. Spicer of Castleton; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will •be conducted by the Rev. John McKay at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Geest Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
Pallbearers will be Howard Waddell, Edmund Burke, Cary Thornhill, Clyde Courtney, Freddie Butler, Russell Deane, Gordon Thornhill and George Butler Jr.
