Northern Virginia’s new noncommercial television station, WNVT/Channel 53, will broadcast “liye” the entire proceedings a regional health care conference to be held in its Annandale studios on Saturday, December 9. i

According to WNVT vice -president and general manager Robert D. Smith, “Channel 53 is providing the live coverage so that health professionals and laymen concerned about the availability and quality of medical service in the burgeoning metropolitan area can tune in at home and watch health care providers, legislators, and citizens’ groups dissect the problems we’re all worried about.”

Speakers for the conference represent a crosssection of health care providers in the private and public sector throughout Northern Virginia.

They include Dr. Alan Mackintosh, president of the Fairfax County Medical Society; Louis Segadelli, executive director of the Group Health Association; Dr. Helen Hackman, director of the Arlington County Department of Human Resources; and James K. Meharg, Jr., secretary of the Virginia Nursing Home Association.
