Slippery roads last week caused several minor traffic crashes and a series of others were also reported by investigating officers.
Two vehicles meeting on a curve on Route 642 south of Amissville on December 1 sideswiped causing property damage but no injury. Joan Catherine Elkins of Warrenton, driving a ‘64 Chevrolet, was cited for failing to drive to the right of the road by Trooper R. A. Baines. She struck % ‘67 Plymouth operated by Louis Harron Cordle of Sperryville.
