Applicants for trooper positions with the State Police will undergo their adaptation tests not only at Administrative Headquarters at Richmond but at five of the six Division Headquarters throughout the State, beginning in December, according to Colonel H. W. Burgess, the Department’s Superintendent.

Until now, Colonel Burgess said, an applicant was required to travel to Richmond from any part of the State and back for these preliminary tests which were given only at Administrative Headquarters. Now, they may be taken at Division Headquarters at Salem, Chesapeake, Culpeper, Wytheville or Appomattox, in addition to Administrative Headquarters.
