At the regular meeting Monday night of Washington Fire Company and Rescue Squad, officers for 1973 were elected. Named to the presidency was Douglas Fairfax with Richard Eastham, vice president. John Norman was chosen as secretary with Jonas Alther Jr., treasurer.
Steve Bailey was elected as fire chief of the department and his assistant will be William Estes, while Ronald Hawkins was named captain of the rescue squad.
Three delegates were named to represent the two units in the Rappahannock County Fire Association.
