Seventh on the card is the Ben-Venue, owner-rider over timber, with a big entry including Randolph Rouse on Eagle’s Top, Dr. Joe Rogers with his good Black Agnes, Harry Wight, last year’s winner, on Hard Apple and Roy Graham aboard Lord Patrick.
Two strong contenders will be Ernie Oare’s Allen B.J., second last week, and Gil Flautt’s China Bowl. Rappahannock’s own Wade Massie will ride his Mulkey Mountain.
