DEL. DUNCAN GIBB of Front Royal has announced that he will not seek re-election in the House of Delegates elections scheduled for this fall.
In a statement, Gibb said legislative pressures on his private law practice have become too great to ignore. His statement follows:
“IT IS WITH MUCH REGRET and only after prayerful consideration that I have decided not to be a candidate this fall as a member of the House of Delegates from the 17th Legislative District.
“It has been a distinct privilege to have served for four years in the Virginia General Assembly, and this experience has been most interesting and rewarding.
“I deeply appreciate the tremendous help and cooperation given to me by the fine people of this district. Being elected to the Virginia General Assembly is the highest honor that has ever been bestowed upon me, and the confidence and support of the people in electing me to this office has been most gratifying and something I will always cherish.
