ALONG WITH QUITE a few of our neighbors, this newspaper has some definite feelings of its own about the powerline plans. We happen to agree with those who feel that there are less destructive alternatives available to the power companies.
But we’re not urging that only those citizens who agree with us turn out for the hearings — everybody who cares about Rappahannock, about the entire area, about Virginia, about our scenic heritage, about economic realities versus esthetic dangers — about all aspects of the powerline question — should plan now to attend the local hearings, either March 28 at the Court House in Warrenton, or March 29 at the Court House in Washington.
