Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Atkins and family and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Heflin spent the weekend in Roanoke visiting Mr. and Mrs. Roger Lee Atkins.
Arthur Curry of Baltimore and Michael Ray Williams were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Goranson. Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Williams of Front Royal were callers in the afternoon. Mr._and Mrs. James McCue and children of Arlington were Monday callers in the Goranson home.
Mr. and Mrs. “Skipper” Mathena and Mindy Ann of Richmond visited his parents, the Rev. and Sirs. Roy Mathena, over the week end.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Stonebreaker had as callers Sunday Mrs. Gladys Stonebreaker, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Stonebreaker and Ed Foster, all of Front Royal.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Leake entertained with a birthday dinner Thursday evening honoring their daughter, Terry, on her 13th birthday. Guests were Kathy Alder of Sperryville who also spent the night with Terry, and the latter’s cousin, Patty Williams, of Chester Gap.
The WMS of the Baptist Church met Tuesday evening in the church with the following members present: Becky Burke, Frances Rudacille, Evelyn Burke, Mary Mathena, Hazel Longmire, Doris Williams, Nora Sealock, LaMerle Williams, and Marie Williams.
