"Notice is hereby given to the public that the Virginia Electric and Power Company and Potomac Edison Company have filed with the State Corporation Commission applications for authority to construct certain electric transmission lines and related facilities. The proposed lines and facilities are: (1) a 115 kilovolt transmission line located in Fauquier County running from Remington to Warrenton; (2) a 500 kilovolt transmission line located in Fauquier County running from Morrisville to Bristers with a substation to be located at Morrisville; (3) a 230 kilovolt line located in Fauquier County running from Morrisville to Remington with a substation to be located at Remington; (4) a 500 kilovolt line located in Louisa, Spotsylvania, Orange, Culpeper and Fauquier Counties running from Virginia Electric and Power Company’s generating facilities on the North Anna River to Morrisville; (5) a 500 kilovolt line located in Warren, Rappahannock, Culpeper, Fauquier, and Frederick Counties running from the proposed substation at Morrisville to the West Virginia-Virginia state line. The applications and proposed locations of these electric facilities may be reviewed at any business office of the Virginia Electric and Power Company or Potomac Edison Company of Virginia where bills may be paid within any of the counties in which the above listed electric facilities are proposed to be built and may be reviewed at the offices of the State Corporation Commission, Blanton Building, Bank it Governor Streets, Richmond, Virginia 23209.
Interested parties have indicated that they wish to be heard with respect to these applications. Local hearings upon the applications have been scheduled for March 28, 1973 in the Circuit Courtroom, Fauquier County, Warrenton, Virginia with two separate sessions on this date to begin at 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. A second day of hearing has been scheduled for March 29, 1973 in the Circuit Courtroom, Rappahannock County, Washington, Virginia with two sessions on this day at 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
