Angus wins
DONNA CANNON of Castleton has spent a busy summer sowing her prize Angus stock. She showed the champion Angus heifer last week at the Culpeper Area Farm Show, competing with others from Culpeper, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock Counties. . , The animal was born and raised on El Rancho Grande Farm, owned by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ray T. Cannon. In other competition, her heifer was champion at the Glenwood Park Show where eleven northern Virginia counties were represented. She had the first place winner in her class at the Virginia Junior Breeders Show last week and placed fifth at the Eastern Division Junior Heifer Show in a field of 240 heifers, some from as far away as Oklahoma. □
