Public hearings upon the applications have been held in Fauquier County and Rappahannock County and in the Commission’s Courtroom in Richmond, Virginia. The hearing has been continued to October 4, 1973, to allow additional time for the Commission’s Staff to further investigate the proposed routes and to investigate for alternate locations which might have a lesser adverse impact upon the environment and to determine the feasibility of using existing right of ways for the location of transmission lines found to be needed.
