Virginia Tech’s Cooperative Extension Service in cities and counties can provide educational materials and programs. Contact local Extension agents for help in finding the right agency to help with your problem and for more information about the laws and agencies working to protect consumers.

Division of Consumer Counsel, Office of the Attorney General, Richmond, 23219. Ask this office for help concerning unfairtrade and sales practices. This counsel appears before .. governmental commissions and agencies to represent and be heard on behalf of consumer’s interests.
State Department of Health, Richmond, 23215. The State Department of Health and local health departments can help with problems regarding health or sanitation compliance of public facilities such as nursing homes, mobile home parks, beauty parlors, and sewage disposal systems.
