“HOME, HOME, SWEET sweet home. Be it ever so humble, there is no place like home.” “Hold fast to your dream.” or “Don’t lose your vision. They’ve lost their’s, their place is for sale. I think it is a disgrace that two senior citizens are afraid to enjoy home, especially at night, because of an atmosphere that has developed in this area. It is understood that this situation is more or less international, but I am thinking of our area. It wouldn’t be surprising if the people who care rise up in rebellion against the lax attitude of law personnel. It has been done before when the law enforcement personnel were inadequate or inept. I’m sure some of you have read of vigilantes, or vigilant committees. They are a group of “citizens selforganized or unofficially appointed to preserve law and order or to administer justice when the law seems inadequate.” A friend told me that England had a situation similar to ours, but after some of the offenders were found hanging from nearby trees, well, it didn’t seem a popular past time any more. I’m. not in favor of anarchy but if it takes that kind of medicine to cure the ailment it should be administered. I deplore a sick society that permits the weak being abused with impunity.□
