Dog tags go on sale in Rappahannock County beginning November 1 and may be purchased at the office of the county treasurer. The sale of the tags continues through January 31 at which time all dogs should be vaccinated and have new tags.
According to Jack Bruce, Dog Warden, a number of citations were made in 1973 for owners failing to procure dog tags. All cases were convicted, a fine imposed and owners were made to secure a tag. It is much less costly to get the proper tag prior to the deadline, January 31. □
