DENNIS’S FRIEND MARGRET tells Dennis and friend that her family have kept a doll for several generations because they are sentimental. Dennis friend askes Dennis what the word sentimental means. Dennis says: “I guest it means that they are too cheap to buy a new doll.” There is a poem about this girl who lost her doll, she sought foi® it more than a week and then: “I found my poor little doll, dears, As I played on the hearth one day, Her arms were trodden off by the cows, dears, And her paint was all washed away. She couldn’t sleep and wake, dears, Her hair was not the least bit curled, But for old sake’s sake she is still, dears, The dearest doll in all the world.” Intrinsic or sentimental values.
