50th anniversary
MR. AND MRS. HENRY LILLARD of Rapidan were honored with a dinner party on November 29 in celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary on that day. Attended only by members of the immediate family, the dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William K. Crossman at Rapidan. Mr. and Mrs. Lillard were married in Washington, D.C. on November 29, 1923 with the Rev. R. Winger performing the ceremony. Mr. Lillard is a native of Rappahannock County and Mrs. Lillard is the former Ruth Alva Murray of Arlington. Mrs. Crossman and Mrs. Paul Poling of Amissville are their daughters. There are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. □
