Kenyon’s letter said he saw neither bear tracks nor bear droppings, but noted that since the field was “heavily sodded” tracks were difficult to see in any event. “I cannot rule out altogether that this was a bear kill,” said the Game Warden’s letter, “but there is little to indicate” that it was.
