LEGISLATION of major importance to sportsmen and the Game Commission was passed during the closing hours of the 1974 General Assembly when that body enacted a bill which provides for an increase in license and permit fees effective July 1, 1974.

On that date the basic hunting and fishing license fees will increase to $5 each. Other fee increases include: Resident big game, $5; Resident trout license, $3; City-county combination license, $5; and resident trapping, $15.
