November 22, at 4 p.m. one mile East of Scrabble on Route 522, a 1971 Chevrolet Vega operated by John Franklin Switzer of Culpeper and a 1971 Ford sedan operated by Polly Ann Wharton of Washington were involved in a collision.
Switzer was stopped behind a school bus and Polly Wharton was unable to avoid striking the Switzer vehicle in the rear. Damage to Switzer was $300 and to Wharton $400. Wharton was charged with following too close. □
