Response to the Rappahannock Recreation Association’s appeal for funds has been gratifying. Checks have been received from both fulltime residents and a large number of weekenders living outside the county. However, to date, less then 10% of the recipients of the association’s recent letter appealing for funds have shown their faith in the future of the Rec center. Most checks have been very generous, well above the $3 per family member suggested.
Donations have also been received in memory of deceased loved ones. Many families prefer such a living memorial, rather than flowers sent to a funeral.
To all of those whom I am sure intend to support the Rec
