But now comes a Regional Land Use and Transportation Plan. Local Assistance planner for the District, Jim White unveiled it for the Commissioners at a meeting last Wednesday in Culpeper. White is already collecting data on land use characteristics of the region, and the Commissioners will have to decide on “goals and objectives ” for the five counties. A preliminary draft of the plan should be ready by June, said White.
WHEN Fauquier decided not to join with Loudoun and Prince William in the Northern Virginia Planning District, and became the charter member of Region 9 five years ago, land use planning was the major reason.
