Local runners
in competition
Two young men from Rappahannock County participated in the Virginia 10-miler held last Saturday at Lynchburg. In the field composed of 425, was Tom Taylor of Ferrum College and Donal Day of the University of Virginia.
Donal Day finished number 14 in the age 23-29 division of the race with a time of 54.59 and 28 overall. He is the son of Mrs. Eileen Day of Sperryville.
Tom Taylor whose parents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Taylor also live at Sperryville numbered 23 in the 18-22 age division with a time of 58.44 and 50 overall.
The Virginia 10-miler is anAAU sanctioned event held by the Lynchburg Roadrunners and First Colony Life Insurance Company of Lynchburg. □
