Studded tires may not be used legally in Virginia until October 15, Colonel H. W. Burgess, Superintendent of State Police, has reminded would-be users.
Colonel Burgess said they may be used until April 15, 1975, unless the 1976 Legislature should enact emergency legislation to alter the dates of usage. He added that the usable dates were formerly from November 1 until April 1 but that the 1974 Legislature changed these dates to the present ones.
