As unbelievable as it may seem, the first six weeks of school are over.report cards will be coming out next Tuesday. The hustle and bustle of the first few weeks of school has slowed to a steadier pace, though traveling down the hall between classes can easily bring back that same confusing feeling which many experienced the first few days. Somehow those halls just get smaller and smaller every year. I’m sure Mr. Futtrell, our guidance counselor, is relieved to find that he can step out of his office once more without being faced with an endless line of students waiting for a schedule change.
Well, there’s plenty of news to catch up on. First of all, ourS.C.A. has elected its new officers and they are Pat Dodson, president; Connie DelGrosso, vice president; Mary Hudson, secretary; Cindy Cumins, reporter; Lyn Holland, treasurer.
The Senior Class has also elected officers. Serving are Dale Frye, president; Raye Rector, vice president; Pat Dodson, secretary; Mike Tupper, treasurer.

There were lots of excited seniors last week when Senior rings finally arrived... .now their seniority is official!
The annual staff has already begun making plans for this year’s Rappsody. The editor and co-editor are Raye Rector and Carol Skowronski. They, along with the section editors met in Woodstock last Thursday with the publishers to discuss such things as book covers, type selection, etc. We hear the staff is planning something special for this Bi-Centennial year.
There’s an old saying which goes, “No news is good news, but in the case of this year’s Cross Country Team, “Some news is the best news”! Of the four meets our C.C. runners have participated in, Rappahannock has consistently placed first. The initial meet September 2 pitted our Panthers against Warren County and Rappahannock won with a perfect score of 15 to their 49. The second meet included Page and Montevideo with Rappahannock and the locals took it with 21 points. The score for Page was 50 and for Montevideo 65 points.
The Second Annual Invitational meet lastSaturday at Eastern Menonnite High School 14 schools participated and Rappahannock placed seventh. Competition in the single
