Moffert Hilbert Brady Sr., 72, of Flint Hill died November 10, 1975 at his residence. He was a native of Flint Hill, the son of the late R. Judson Brady and Della Pullen Brady. He was a member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church and was retired from the Virginia Department of Highways.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Mane Lillard Brady; six daughters, Mrs. Louise McCulloch of of Falls Church, Mrs. Mary Alice Pullen of Flint Hill, Mrs. Thelma Crane of Lanham, Md., Mrs. Irene Hamilton of High Point, N. C., Mrs. Elizabeth Lester ofManassas and Mrs. Ann Ridenour of Cedar Rapids, Ohio; four sons, Moffett Brady, Jr. and Robert Brady of Flint Hill, Charles Brady of Falls Church and Richard Brady, Arlington; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Flint Hill United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Malcolm Maples. Interment will be in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were J. P. Walters, George Grimsley, Thomas G. Eastham, Bradley Dodson, Douglas Bywaters and James W. Fletcher.
Fletcher
Samuel Augustus Fletcher, 61, of Happy Creek, died at his home November 6, 1975.
He was the son of the late George and Cassie Dean Fletcher, a retired employe of FMC Corporation in Front Royal, a member and deacon of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and a member of St. Luke Lodge No. 312.
He is survived by his wife, Eastelle Fletcher; one son, Samuel D. Fletcher of Silver Spring, Md.; five daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Johnson of Oxon Hill, Md., Mrs. Doris Johnson, Miss Susie Fletcher and Miss Emma Jean Fletcher, all of Washington, D.C. and Miss Geneva Fletcher of Front Royal; one brother, William Fletcher of Happy Creek; three sisters, Mrs. Eltie Smith and Miss Emma Fletcher, both of Happy Creek, and Mrs. Fannie Starks of Flint Hill; eleven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
