Castleton Rescue Squad took Mrs. Ada Sherman from her home in Castleton to Culpeper Memorial Hospital on October 19. She was returned to her home from the hospital November 1. On the 7th Mrs. Sherman was taken to a doctor’s office in Culpeper and returned home and on November 10 she was taken to and returned home from Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
The Castleton Fire Department responded to a barn fire October 28 at the Harrison farm and on November 1, this unit answered an alarm to a chimney fire at Korea but service was not used.
