Dance was a success

THE HARVEST MOON BARN DANCE held November 1 was declared by its sponsors to be a great success with approximately 300 people attending. At times the floor was clogged, with little elbow room for swinging your partner, said a spokesman for RLEP. There were many young people attending and all ages were young at heart as everyone participated with enthusiasm. The dance grossed $2,676 of which over $2,000 will be cleared for use by RLEP. The pony given as a door prize went to Lee Fitzgerald of Alexandria. This was donated by Col. Robin Dickey of Huntly. J Other prizes awarded were a load of hay which went to L- E. Lum of Flint Hill; a basket of assorted liquors was taken home by C. B. Russell of Front Royal; the registered Angus Heifer donated by'Butch Eastham was won by Billy Cameron of Chester Gap who returned to RLEP the $50 bond which accompanied the heifer. This bond was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Ted Resting. □
