Also, with each browsing a new detail is notices a new detail is noticed, perhaps an unusual cornice over a window or a handsome mantelpiece. And many of these houses in Virginia’s Piedmont deserved to be looked at and admired over and over again. □
Break-ins and
vandalism probed
Several cases of breaking and entering are under investigation by police in Rappahannock. Twinpactor, Inc. at Sperryville was entered sometime during the weekend and approximately $600 worth of tools, wrenches, etc. were taken. Trooper C. A. Moore is investigating the incident.
He is also looking into vandalism done to the gas pump at Stringfellow’s Gulf station west of Washington on Route 211. Tampering with the pump took place last Thursday night
