According to Pete Luke, Dr. LeGarde is unable to give the service that he’s capable of giving because the office is too public. “People don’t confide. There’s no privacy,” said Luke.
LUKE went on to describe the situation in Commissioner of the Revenue Virginia Smith’s office. “If you want to talk to Virginia privately about tax problems you’d have to lock the door behind you. Real estate people are always coming:in to look at tax records.”
