Estes gave a command performance for the late President Lyndon Johnson at the White House and performed in the New York City Music Hall at a reception by Mayor Lindsay. He has been soloist with Eugene Ormandy and the Philadelphia Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington and sang at the United National Anniversary in San Francisco, and the opening of the Olympic Games in Munich.
He has guest starred in opera houses in the U.S. and many other countries and has appeared with the New York Philharmonic and Boston Symphony Orchestras. He has made recordings and appeared on the Mike Douglas and Tonight shows.
