In last week’s News was a letter from Phil Irwin making the valuable point that RLEP was neither defunct nor beaten. And it mentions the devotion of Ed Harris to his work and the weal of the county.
To that letter I should like to add a strongly felt observation. Ed Harris, most unfortunately, is no longer with us in body, but to think that a man is finished, who, dying painfully, could, a few days before his death, reaffirm for the last time his dedication to the struggle to protect Rappahannock County by donating a paid advertisement in the recent Hunt Pointto-point program, would be sad and dangerous for this county.
