SOUTHEASTERN feeder cattle prices declined during the week ended March 26 after three consecutive weeks of gains. According to USDA’s Agriucltural Marketing Service, trading and prices were mixed for most other farm commodities.

Feeder cattle prices were generally weak to $2 lower. However, hog prices gained $1 to $1.25 during the week.

Corn and soybean prices were slightly lower. Corn prices ranged 4-3/4 cents lower to 3 cents higher with a cash spread of $2.52 to $2.85. Soybeans ranged 5-1/4 cents lower to 7 cents higher, mostly 4 to 5 cents lower, with a cash spread of $4.44 to $4.79.

GRAIN—Southeastern corn and soybean prices were slightly lower for the week ending March 26. Corn ranged 4-3/4 cents lower to 3 cents higher, mostly 3 to 4 cents lower. Cash spread was $2.52 to $2.85. Soybeans ranged 5-1/4 cents lower to 7 cents higher, mostly 4 to 5 cents lower. Cash spread was $4.44 to $4.79. Markets moved irregularly, demand was sporadic and farm to market trading continued very light.
