Baines, Eugene Gayheart of Lignum died in-, the crash of the 1969 Honda when it hit the rock wall in front .of the Raymond Johnson home on Route 618about 6 p.m. He was dead . • at the scene, and in serious condition in the University of Virginia ■ Hospital, Charlottesville is Susan Lyon of Culpeper, a passenger. She sustained head, heck and chest injuries. Trooper Baines said ^ Wednesday Miss Lyon had been taken out of the intensive care unit, On a second motorcycle were Barry Grubb of Culpeper and Becky Riddle of Locust Dale. This 1968 Honda, also struck the wall but results'were not serious. Investigation of circumstances continues, said Trooper Baines. Near Huntly on Route 522 Sunday about 7 p.m. a vehicle went out of control and struck a tree and a rock wall. Thomas Carter of Winchester was the driver of the 65 Plymouth which was declared a total loss. According to Baines, Carter sustained minor back injuries. The investigation continues. □
