FEEDER cattle prices advanced sharply under a very good demand during the week ended April 9, reports USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service. Other farm commodities that experienced higher price trends include hogs, grain and cotton.
Feeder classes were up $1 to $3. A few steers and steer calves sold $4 higher. Butcher hogs closed the week at $2 higher.
