Among those attending die Shenandoah Area Council, Boy Scouts of America dinner last week were Adm. Elmo Zumqalt (ret), the Rev. B. Gale Titchenell, Henry Lowry and Richard Nicholas.
Scout leader honored A RAPPAHANNOCK SCOUT leader, the Rev. B. Gale Titchenell of Woodville, received the Silver Beaver award at the Scouter’s recognition dinner held April 20 in Stephens City. The Silver Beaver is the highest recognition by the local council to Scouters. Mr. Titchenell is currently Assistant Director Commissioner and formerly has served as committeeman, Cubmaster and Scoutmaster. He is a Virgil member of the Order of the Arrow and has a Scouter’s Training Key and award. Henry Lowry of Winchester, also received a Silver Beaver Award. Participating in the awards ceremony were Phil Whitney, manager of WINC radio station, Bob Sutton and Richard emorest, all of Winchester and Ivan Coffelt of Edinburg. Rappahannock County is included in the Shenandoah Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. □ •
