Our JV’s didn’t do quite as well. They placed 2nd but they had quite a few outstanding performances: Marion Eastham— 1st High jump (tied J. V. Record), Lynell Prudhum—1st long jump, Wendy Jenkins—2nd long jump, Jeanette Beeke—1st shot and discus (new J.V. record), Penny Chadwell—1st hurdles, Lynell Prudhum—1st 100 (new J.V. record). First place in the 440 relay were Marion Eastham, Lynell Prudhum, Wendy Jenkins, Janice Cook. Second in the 880 relay were Denise Wingfield, Denise Longmayer, Melony Burke.
Later, on Monday our Lady Panthers met with Elkton and succeeded in defeating them by a score of 56 1/2-53 1/2. Outstanding performances of that game were: Janice Aylor, 1st 880, Dawn Keithley—1st mile, Jamell Prudhum—1st in 220 and High jump, Eleanor Phillips—1st in shot and discus, Marie Hetcher—2nd in the 100, Ruby Dunn—2nd in high jump, Nina Metzinger 3rd in Discus, Karen Welch, Ruby Dunn, C. C. Taylor, Dawn Keithley— 1st in mile relay, Karen Welch, Wendy Jenkins, C. C. Taylor, Marie Fletcher—1st in 440 realy. Way to go Lady Panthers—keep up the fine work!
Next week we’ve got National Honor Society inductions coming up and a special assembly from the S.C.A. Oh, by the way—“thank you Juniors for such a nice prom.”

FELLOWSHIP SUPPER
A fellowship supper is scheduled for May 5 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville at 6:30 p.m. A business meeting will follow at 7:30.
