Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker attended the 42nd Annual Va. Credit Union League Convention from Thursday through Saturday in Norfolk. Sunday they visited Mr. and Mrs. James W. Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cook and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cook and son, there.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller and Mrs. G.W. Smith spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs* P. Louis Miller, Jr. in Odenton, Md.

Thrift Shop opens
The Washington Thrift Shop will open Friday, April 30 in the Washington fire house across from the courthouse. Shop hours will be 10 to 4 every Wednesday and Friday. The shop is sponsoredby the Washington Ladies Auxiliary.
Auxiliary president, Mrs. Ruth Clark, says bargains are the specialty at the Thrift Shop and invites everyone to come and look over the selection.
Auxiliary members also asked that anyone having items which they no longer need and which are saleable will donate such articles to the Thrift Shop. The support and contributions will be appreciated. □
