Indictments returned
FIFTY-EIGHT INDICTMENTS were handed down in Rappahannock County Circuit Court on Monday. William Michael Foster of Flint Hill had entered a plea of guilty to six counts of breaking and entering and is awaiting sentencing.
C. W. Short of Stanley was indicted on eight counts of breaking and entering the B. J. Vierling property in 1975; John Paul Dodson of Flint Hill was indicted for the May 1975 breaking and entering of Bradford’s Store. Forty-two counts involved a group of young men from the Front Royal area including Larry Dean Land, Robert Winfrey Jackson, Carroll Robinson, Lawrence Turner and Eugene Green.
Charges included breaking and entering the Aileen Manufacturing plant on Christmas Day, the Bowser Williams property, the theft of a CB radio from Herbert Foster, a police monitor from Gid Clater and a robbery at Reager’s Store near Chester Gap.
The indictments followed extensive investigations by Trooper J. A. Watson and State Police Investigators Cecil Handy and Mike Ashley.
