TV film crew
visits county
Dan Rather of the CBS-TV Sixty Minutes show, and a crew of 12 cameramen, sound and lighting engineers and a project director were in the county last week filming a segment of the show to be presented Sunday evening, May 16, at 6-7 p.m. on the CBS Sixty Minutes program. The group spent six hours making the film at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Atkins. It will show various scenes of the mountains and farmlands here and an interview between Rather and Atkins with use of many of Atkins’s photographs. The entire crew was to have had luncheon at the Bradford Store in Flint Hill but the film crew wanted to make “scenic cut-ins’’ instead, so Mrs. Bradford prepared a dozen plate lunches.□
