Engagement
Mr. and Mrs. William F. Smoot of Manassas announce the engagement of her daughter, Debbie Lynn Jeffries of Amissville,-to Kenneth Ross Sisk of Charlottesville. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sisk, Jr. of Rixeyville.
Miss Jeffries is a 1975 graduate of Culpeper County High School and is employed by Communications Corporation of America. Mr. Sisk was graduated in 1974 from Culpeper County High School and is an employe of R. £. Lee & Son in Charlottesville.
A wedding is planned for August 7. □
“SING THING”
A Bicentennial “Sing Thing” is scheduled for Sunday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Amissville United Methodist Church. Choirs from various churches will be present for the program. The public is invited.
Mrs. Priest elected
Mrs. Mary Priest of Amissville was elected treasurer of the District VIII Extension Homemakers Council on Thursday, April 28, at the Annual Spring District VIII Meeting in Arlington.
Other representatives from the county attending the Spring District Meeting were Mrs. Corinne DelGrosso, County Chairman; Mrs. Barbara Gentry and Mrs. Flo Duvall all of the Flint Hill Club; Mrs. Violet Cooley, Vice Co-Chairman and Mrs. Rose Bowey both from the Amissville Club; Mrs. Gale B.
