Following the parade, Frank McLeod and his family of Old Dominion Amusements will be waiting to entertain carnival goers with a great show of rides and games. This is much the largest and best carnival ever sponsored by the Washington Fire Company and Rescue Squad.
MUCH help is needed with the carnival and volunteers from the area will be appreciated, said Jennings Hobson. There are more concessions than ever before at this carnival so additional assistance is greatly needed. Mrs. Ruth Clark stated that contributions of food for box suppers and desserts are needed and should be taken to the food stand before or 5:30 Friday night. All contributions will be appreciated, she said.
