SKYLINE District, of which Rappahannock is a part in school athletics, has increased admission prices to basketball games and has issued district regulations governing these games.
Students may purchase tickets in advance for home and away activities for only $1 each. Students who do not purchase tickets prior to the event will pay the new general admission rate of $2 each at the gate.
Adult tickets will be available at all district schools for $1.50

“What we see here is a failure of the regulatory process to adequately assess the social issues involved in this case,” Schell declared. “Vepco could have located its powerline at existing parallel facilities ten miles from the wildlife area but the SCC gave no serious consideration to our proposals.”
SCHELL noted that the 3,500 acre tract of land in the Rappahannock preserve was cited by the U. S. Department of Interior as being a significant natural resource because of its proximity to a large urban area.
“If Vepco is forced to relocate its powerline a few miles away, the COSt will not be significant,” Schell concluded. “But if Vepco is able to run its giant transmission lines right through a state wildlife area, die costs to succeeding generations of Virginians will be incalculable.” □
