For these reasons, I feel that these are two industries which should be encouraged in Rappahannock. Proper land management methods should be promoted, since farming and forestry are easily mispracticed. The County Extension Agents, Soil Conservation Service, and Virginia Division of Forestry all offer useful professional advice.
Individual landowners and the general population of Rappahannock County would all benefit from well-managed farming and forest industries.
